Dr. Ajith P. Madurapperuma, is a Director of the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka and serves as the Chairman of SLCERT. He is the Director of the Industry Liaison Center of the Open University of Sri Lanka and is a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the same university.
Previously he served as the Director, Career Guidance Unit and the Director, Graduate Foundtion of the University of Colombo. He also served as a senior lecturer at the University of Colombo School of Computing. He was the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology of the University of Moratuwa. Dr. Madurapperuma has over 25 years’ experience in academia as well as experience working as a consultant in many national projects. He was involved with the World Bank technical assistance team that helped set up the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka. He has also worked as a Technical consultant in several World Bank and ADB funded projects. He has served as an IT advisor to several governmental organizations. His academic qualification includes a PhD and a MSc in Computer Science from the University of Wales, Cardiff and a MSc in Computer Engineering from ISPJAE, Havana.
Rashan is a Software Architect at Zone24x7 with over 12 years of experience in software industry. As the Head of Data Science & Machine Learning at Zone24x7, He is leading various projects related to NLP, Big-data Analytics and Machine learning with special attention to the Retail domain.
Rashan holds a MSc (IT Management) with Highest Distinction from Carnegie Mellon University and BSc. (Computer Science Special) with 1st Class honours from University of Colombo.
Srinath is a scientist, software architect, and a programmer who works on distributed systems. He is a member of the Apache Software foundation and a key-architect behind several widely used projects such as Apache Axis2 and WSO2 CEP. Srinath has authored two books about MapReduce and many technical articles. He received his Ph.D. from Indiana University, USA, in 2009.
